1. BITC will register the applicant in the Student’s Pass OnLine Application & Registration+ (SOLAR+) system.

2. The applicant will need to complete the information in SOLAR+ system at https://solarplus.ica.gov.sg/solarplus-ica/indes.do. upon receiving the SOLAR+ Application number from the school. This e-service is also available at the self-service terminals located at the 1st storey and 4th storey of ICA Building.

Local Sponsor
A local sponsor is required for applicable of a Student's Pass. The local sponsor must be a Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident above the age of 21 years old or the school where the applicant intends to study in. Companies are not allowed to act as sponsors.

Security Deposit
Where applicable, a security deposit may be required from the local sponsor upon approval of the application. ICA will advise if the security deposit should be in the form of a Banker's Guarantee or Cashier's Order. The amount of security deposit can be seen in the table below:

Exemption from the requirement to furnish a security deposit: Malaysians, Brunei nationals, holders of a valid Dependant Pass, Long-term Social Visit Pass, Work Permit, and children of Singapore citizens/permanent residents.

Processing Time
The processing time for the new student's pass applications is about 4 weeks upon the receipt of your application provided that no further verification is required. The local sponsor and the school will be notified of the outcome by post.
